Türkiye’s public broadcaster, TRT, has won the Asiavision Monthly Award for May with its compelling report, Antarctica’s Youngest Explorer.

Selected by ABU News members through the highest number of votes, the feature was recognised for its outstanding storytelling, strong visual presentation, and emotional impact. The report follows the remarkable journey of a seven-year-old boy who successfully completed an expedition to Antarctica, capturing his determination, curiosity, and environmental awareness through a compelling human-interest narrative.

The award highlights TRT’s continued excellence in television journalism and creative storytelling. The Asiavision Monthly Award will be formally presented to the TRT team during the Global News Forum in Sydney this September.
