FINANCE DEPARTMENT

Supporting Financial Excellence Across the Union

The Finance Department plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability, accountability, and operational efficiency of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). Headed by Azwan Abdul Azis, Finance Manager, the department oversees the Union’s financial management, budgeting, reporting, and administrative financial operations in support of the ABU’s programmes and initiatives.

Working alongside him are Fariza Ibrahim, Finance Officer, Kuamis Kimjun, Senior Accounts Assistant, Muhamad Khamsi, Accounts Assistant, and Mimie Zamira, Junior Finance Assistant, who collectively support the day-to-day financial and accounting functions of the Union.

The department is responsible for managing financial planning, expenditure monitoring, account administration, and financial reporting, ensuring that the ABU operates with transparency, efficiency, and strong financial governance. Working closely with all departments and stakeholders, the Finance team helps support the smooth delivery of the Union’s activities and long-term strategic goals.

“Unity in Diversity is not just a principle. It is how the ABU operates as one regional community.”
