Fiji Television Limited (Fiji TV) has entered into a strategic partnership with Free TV Australia to distribute premium World Rugby content to broadcasters across the Pacific, strengthening access to major international rugby tournaments throughout the region.

The collaboration builds on Fiji TV’s three-year agreement with World Rugby, which includes the rights to broadcast the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, Pacific Nations Cup (2025–2027), World Rugby Junior World Championship (2025–2027), and the Men’s Rugby World Cup Australia 2027.

Under the new partnership, Free TV Australia will support the distribution of World Rugby content using its established broadcast infrastructure, enabling Pacific broadcasters to deliver live coverage of key tournaments to audiences across the region. The first phase of the partnership begins with the World Rugby Junior World Championship in June 2026, followed by the Pacific Nations Cup in September.

The initiative is expected to enhance access to premium rugby content while supporting the sustainability of free-to-air broadcasting across the Pacific. It also reinforces the long-standing collaboration between Fiji TV, Free TV Australia, and World Rugby as they work together to expand rugby’s reach ahead of the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia.
