Tourism Malaysia backs 2026 Asiavision Coordinators’ meeting

Tourism Malaysia has officially joined forces with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) for the 2026 Asiavision Coordinators’ Meeting, taking place from 21–22 January in the heart of the capital, Kuala Lumpur.

As the flagship event for ABU News, this meeting convenes an elite circle of over 30 newsroom executives—including Editors-in-Chief and News Directors—from premier broadcasting organizations across the Asia-Pacific and beyond.

This high-level partnership arrives at a landmark moment as the nation celebrates the launch of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VMY2026), the country’s most ambitious tourism campaign to date.

The gathering serves as a critical hub for editorial synergy, fostering cross-regional news exchange among Asiavision members who collectively reach hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide.

By hosting this prestigious delegation, Tourism Malaysia aims to showcase the nation’s authentic hospitality and “Surreal Experiences,” staying true to the iconic spirit of “Malaysia, Truly Asia.”
