Coordinators’ speak about podcast and more

Producing podcasts from news exchange content was an exhilarating topic that captured the attention of delegates at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Asiavision Coordinators’ Meeting, currently underway in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ABU Head of Radio, Andrew Davies, spoke to delegates about the potential impact of podcasting and how news content uploaded to Asiavision can be effectively repurposed for the format.

The first day was packed with information regarding content types and strategies for members to improve production quality for their peers. Member showcases from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), ABS-CBN Philippines, VTV Vietnam, and Thai PBS also provided valuable insights into how digital content is making waves across the region.

Additionally, Emilio San Pedro, Head of the Eurovision News Exchange (EVN), shared perspectives on the specific types of content exchange they prioritize for their own members.
