ABU News’ Facebook & TikTok audience growth in Q3
The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting (ABU) News records growth on its Facebook and TikTok accounts between July and September 2025.
From July to September, the “ABU News – Asiavision” Facebook page reaches more than 1.5 million total views. This is nearly 90 times higher than the previous quarter.

Audience engagement also rises, with content interactions increasing more than fourfold, and page follows almost 30 times higher than Q2.
The top-performing post includes a breaking news reel from NHK Japan’s coverage on a tsunami warning on 1 August.
The video draws 1.46 million views, reaching over 900,000 people, and attracts more than 4,000 interactions, making it the most-watched and most-engaged content of the quarter.
Other high views include a reel on VTV Vietnam’s coverage of Typhoon Kajiki (26,292 views) and another reel CCTV China’s coverage on flood rescues in Hebei (6,126 views).
Meanwhile, ABU News’ TikTok “@abu.asiavision” records over half a million total views and almost 10,000 likes during the quarter.
In July, the NHK Japan tsunami warning video, gains 391,000 views and kept viewers watching for nearly 10 seconds on average.
In September, MCOT Thailand’s video of a large sinkhole became the most-liked TikTok post, with over 114,000 views and 1,200 likes.
Other notable content includes TRT Türkiye’s coverage of the Marinette Global Sumud Flotilla and the Gaza devastation.
Across the three months, ABU News reaches a combined TikTok audience of more than half a million people, including nearly half a million new viewers which shows growing visibility and interest in its content.
