ABU News Group Meeting and Global News Forum in August 2026

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) will host the annual Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Global News Forum and News Group Meeting next August in Sydney.

The announcement was made by Nesryn Bouziane, ABC Lead of International Broadcast and Digital Services and ABU News Group Vice-Chair, during the ABU General Assembly in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

While inviting members, Bouziane stated that the meeting will be held at the ABC Headquarters in Ultimo, Sydney. She emphasized that attendees will not only engage in important discussions about news but will also have the opportunity to experience Australian culture and the best of Sydney.

Bouziane added that the three-day meeting will include new features, as the ABC works closely with the ABU News Department to ensure participants achieve the maximum outcome from the event.
