ABU-ASBU relations continue to grow

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) has further strengthened its news exchange with the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) as both parties look for ways to enhance member services.

The recently completed ASBU News Meeting, held in Tunis, Tunisia, saw ABU News Director Indra Singh meet with ASBU members. Singh learned about the work being carried out by teams in the Arab region.

A significant portion of the discussion focused on coverage from Gaza and how ASBU has been able to provide material and content amidst the war. The ABU conveyed its appreciation and gratitude to ASBU for this effort.

Furthermore, Singh also met with ASBU Director General Abdelrahim Suleiman and his team to discuss further enhancing news exchange and how both organizations can better their service to members. This enhanced collaboration will now include the ABU being able to use all stories offered by ASBU for its members. There was also discussion on how to tailor content specifically for the benefit of their respective members.
